Summer is my favorite season because there is so much to do and the weather (usually) cooperates. I would much prefer heat to cold so the summer is an ideal time of year for me to enjoy the outdoors! If I can be outside AND sipping on one of my favorite beverages with some of my favorite people then all the better!!
This weekend there are a plethora of events:
Right here in my stompin’ grounds of Leesburg, the NOVA Summer BrewFest takes place at Morven Park on June 23-24. There will be live music, food, arts and crafts and loads of beer from 50 breweries from across the nation! Tix are $20 if purchased in advance and $30 at the gate for “drinkers”…ticket price includes commerative tasting glass and 4 tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased for $1 each. The DDs and other non-“drinkers” can purchase tix for $15 in advance and $20 at the gate.
The 4th Annual Virginia Summer Soltstice Wine Festival which is in full swing June 23-24 featuring wine, of course, live music, locally grown food and products, arts and crafts, antique cars, petting zoo, and free kid’s activites! Wine tix are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. General admission tix are $5 and kids 12 and under are Free.
And lastly, the Clifton Wine Festival runs for one day, June 23 from 11:00AM-6:00PM. Food, VA wines, live music, food and arts & crafts will be on hand at this fun filled event! Tix are $25 for those sampling wine, $15 for DDs and patrons ages 16-20, $5 for ages 5-15 and kids 4 and under are Free!
