I typically feature alcohol based beverages in my Friday Sip posts, because those tend to be my favorites! Wink, wink. But today I have a fun and yummy one for the kiddos and moms/dads alike! While perusing the blog, sophistimom, I came across this shake recipe that would be a delicious treat for everyone this spring break if you, like us, are in the mood for something special! Cheers!
8-10 ounces warm water
2 dates, pitted
1/4 cup oatmeal
1 scoop protein powder (I use raw, vegan protein powder, but you can use whatever you want, or just leave it out.)
1/4 cup raw walnuts
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 ripe banana
1 cup ice cubes
1. Combine all ingredients except for ice in a blender until very smooth.
2. Add in ice cubes and blend until ice is completely crushed and mixture is smooth.
