Depart DC/Sip: Valley Fest Beer & Wine Festival

On Saturday, May 26, Massanutten, usually known for it’s skiing, will host a Valley Fest Beer and Wine Festival.  Performing at the festival is one of my long time favorite musical groups, Carbon Leaf!  If it wasn’t Senior prom night for our oldest son, I would so be there for this show!  Two other acts will also strut their musical stuff, The Hackens Boys and Mike Davis. This festival stands out in the wine festival crowd because they will also offer beer from Shenandoah Valley microbreweries as well as brews from outside the area.  Food and crafts will be on sale, too.  Ticket prices are as follows:

For those that live in Loudoun County, Virginia, you already know the Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival is essentially a kick off to the spring planting season!  With inspiration every few steps, food on every corner, activities for the kids, gorgeous plants and flowers for sale, live music and more, it is a staple for many Loudouners this third weekend in April!  We are keeping our fingers crossed for beautiful weather, but even in the rain there is plenty to see and do. And the best part is the festival is free and open to the public. Come on out and support our local businesses!
